al di là di come sia finita e di irving che per certi versi è una causa persa, per me resta il roster più forte e profondo degli ultimi decenni, per certo.

e nessuno mi toglie dalla testa che senza l'infortunio di hayward si sarebbe potuta scrivere un'altra storia.

detto questo, il roster attuale mi sembra il più ricco di talento proprio da quel 1986 ...

menzione d'onore ai Celtics del 2010 con big3, il più grande Rondo di tutti i tempi e Rasheed Wallace. Quelli sono stati una squadra da sbavo e avrebbero meritato di vincere l'anello!

Si, si errore mio, quelli del 1985/1986 che poi sono quelli che hai descritto tu, sono il meglio assoluto.

Quelli dell'annata successiva furono Celtcs funestati dagli infortuni e poi ci fu la vicenda del povero Len Bias ad inzio stagione se non ricordo male...

Alcune considerazioni che fa The Atletic su SGA, MVP stagionale, continuo a dire, secondo me:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He has the sixth-highest usage rate in the NBA, putting up MVP-level numbers — 31.1 points per game on 54.5 percent shooting — while absorbing 31.2 percent of the Thunder’s offensive possessions when on the floor. But, unlike some heliocentric star scorers, Gilgeous-Alexander isn’t a net negative whose energy must be preserved or his flaws hidden on defense. He is abnormally destructive. He leads the league with 96 steals. Nobody else has more than 68! Add his 32 blocks (near the top of the list among guards) and Gilgeous-Alexander is fifth in the combination (stocks) category, behind only Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Davis, Brook Lopez and Chet Holmgren (he’ll come up later).

The other four are big men. None of them have near Gilgeous-Alexander’s offensive load. “You have to be in good shape,” Gilgeous-Alexander, 25, said. “But it really just comes down to wanting to. Once I made an emphasis to try to affect the game on both ends of the floor, I’ve found myself having success. So, for me, it’s just a want to.”

This might be the stat that best encapsulates Gilgeous-Alexander’s team impact: The Thunder commit the fourth-fewest turnovers per game (12.5) in the NBA while forcing the most (15.9). Their best player operates in a safe, controlled manner on one end while ballhawking on the other. But the credit must be spread. “A lot of his steals come off ball,” Daigneault said. “The fact that we have (Jalen Williams) and (Lugentz) Dort who can take the point-of-attack guys, it allows him to use his great help anticipation. He’s got great hands, great length and he really smells the ball at this point. So he deserves credit as an individual defender. But (Williams and Dort) get credit for his ability to get the steals because a lot of that’s coming off the ball.

Durant mi sta sulle palle ma vederlo 23° per me non ci sta né in cielo né in terra.
Poi Kawhi Leonard 48° per me è blasfemia pura, chiudiamo pure ESPN a sto punto
