ci sono voci che avvicinano Charles Lee a Boston come altro membro del coaching staff.
Charles Lee è uno storico collaboratore di Budenholzer, prima ad Atlanta e poi a Milwaukee, quest'anno era associate head coach.
Sarebbe un gran colpo aggiungere anche la sua esperienza a quella di Cassell.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Charles Lee is finalizing a deal to join the Boston Celtics as the lead assistant coach, sources tell ESPN. Lee had been the associate head coach with Milwaukee and a finalist for the Toronto and Detroit head jobs.

Ben Sullivan is a former Hawks and Bucks assistant who began his career as a video assistant with the Spurs when he was hired on Udoka’s recommendation. Royal Ivey was an assistant with the Nets, including when Udoka was a Brooklyn assistant after stints with the Thunder and Knicks. Garrett Jackson and Mike Moser were assistants under Udoka with the Celtics. Jackson was a video assistant with the Spurs when Udoka was an assistant.

John Lucas, long a Rockets assistant coach and a Houston basketball icon, will not be a part of new Houston coach Ime Udoka’s staff. He also will not be going anywhere. Lucas has opted to join the front office, working as an assistant to general manager Rafael Stone, a person with knowledge of his plans said.

The Celtics coaching staff will be seeing plenty of new faces this year amid a busy offseason under second-year coach and none will be as notable as Sam Cassell. The three-time NBA champion has spent much of the past decade as an assistant coach under Doc Rivers and was looking for a new opportunity after Rivers was dismissed by the 76ers. “Right after the playoffs was over, we got together, couple phone conversations,” Cassell said of his talks with Mazzulla. “Asked me if first of all, if I was interested in coming here, join his staff, the Celtics, I just told him it’d be an honor. I hadn’t heard from anybody else. It was an opportunity that I was looking forward to. I think Joe’s an amazing coach. I’m here to just help him just let him enjoy that we have a great team. I won’t change his mentality, that’s who he is. But I’m going to help him enjoy it a little bit more.”
